I offer personalised coaching to students to hone effective study skills. This non-subject specific approach is about ‘learning to learn’ and overcoming barriers to learning, bringing benefits across all subjects, rather than plugging a knowledge gap in a specific subject. Through coaching, students develop a positive mindset and invaluable transferable skills to support them in their studies and beyond.

    I empower students to explore their goals and connect with their internal motivation. I also support students to develop a growth mindset towards overcoming any barriers that emerge. This reduces stress and anxiety and allows students to build confidence, a positive attitude to feedback and productive relationships with their teachers.

  • Organisation

    One key aspect of students’ academic success is their ability to organise their time and resources. I support students to find systems that work for them whilst ensuring they still have time for hobbies and relaxation. Establishing strategies for avoiding distractions like mobile phones is also essential.

  • Exam and Study Skills

    Good study skills, revision strategies and exam techniques play a crucial role in exam success. I support students to find the evidence-based techniques that work best for them. Personalised support with study skills can also be invaluable as students go through different transitions in their school life, such as starting secondary school or getting to grips with Sixth Form.
